This year we decided to get season passes to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's Family Concert series since Maia was probably old enough to find it interesting. I don't think it is ever too early to get children involved with the arts so as long as the venue, program, and audience are kid friendly. The first concert of the season was the Halloween concert and we had just gotten back from visiting my parents. This was the first time that Maia wore her Halloween costume out, and she was a super adorable Pirate Princess. She was so cute that she even made it on the big screen during the concert, pirate hat and all! We said from the very beginning that our baby will be a pirate for her first Halloween, no Disney princesses for us! This, however, will probably be the first and last time that she will ever acquiesce to being a pirate. Let's see what next Halloween brings!
